Kathleen Weatherstone, MD, founded Sunflower Neonatology Associates, LLC, in 2004 to serve premature and ill infants and their families from the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.

Our physicians specialize in neonatology and staff the Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at the following hospitals: Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Research Medical Center, Centerpoint Medical Center, Menorah Medical Center and Providence Medical Center.

Our physicians also provide consultative services at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Sunflower Neonatology is an independent medical practice. We collaborate closely with each hospital’s NICU or nursery and provide medical directorship at many of the hospitals. There, we join a team of health care providers who are dedicated to serving your baby’s needs.
